Thank you Bruce Adams for this fantastic 2007 Bethesda Big Train souvenir program. Now we have memorabilia celebrating Bethesda's Walter "Big Train" Johnson. The program celebrates the 100th anniversary of Walter Johnson's major league debut in 1907 with the Washington Senators. Donated June 19, 2019
Thank you Bruce Adams for this 1925 Washington Evening Star advertisement for Edgemoor homes. The ad features a photograph of Bruce's father's childhood home, with a testimonial for the neighborhood written by Bruce's grandfather. We agree, Mr. Adams, Edgemoor is "a delightful place" in Bethesda! Donated June 19, 2019
Thank you Bruce and Emily Gersh for this adorable doll that has "lived in Bethesda" for decades. She will be preserved for many years to come as a popular Bethesda toy. She might even pass the time flipping through the Big Train souvenir program! Donated June 25, 2019
Help us preserve Bethesda history by donating memorabilia (old Bethesda matchbooks, menus, shopping bags, school items, religious items, photographs, clothing, toys, housewares, etc.) that we can add to our collections. All donations are documented in our records and become part of the Society's archives.
